Some roads are guided by maps, others by the heart. At Action Tour Guide, we make sure you have both.

My Dad and I stood on top of a hill overlooking Machu Picchu, one of the most impressive views in the world… and shared a look of frustration. Why? Well, our “five-star” guide was reciting robotically from a barebones script, and his monotone monologue robbed this ancient wonder of its magic.

That’s just not what we had imagined when we planned a once-in-a-lifetime (and expensive!) visit to far-away Peru from our living room couch in Barrington, Rhode Island. We decided right then that no one else should face that kind of disappointment. We imagined a guide that could bring history, legends, and local secrets to life perfectly, anytime, anywhere.

That vision became Action Tour Guide. We built the travel companion we wish we’d had, one that makes the landscape speak. Instead of just passing by the scenery, you’ll hear the history and secrets that make you want to slow down and really look.

We’ve followed those stories from the geysers of Yellowstone to the historic streets of Savannah. We explore every place deeply before we guide you there, ensuring that every journey you take with us is alive with stories waiting to be heard.
